28 compressed natural gas vehicles are now part of the Muncie Police Department fleet. Vehicles equipped with those fuel systems will carry a combination of compressed gas and gasoline. CNG is low cost and the addition of regular gas will extend the operating range of the vehicles. The project was in partnership with the City of Muncie and ECO Vehicle Systems.
