A Muncie man who struck a deal with Marion County prosecutors in a murder case has been sentenced to 16 years in prison. 29-year-old Martize Kirkland was accused of luring fellow Delaware County resident Jeremy Johnson to an abandoned house on Indy’s’ east side. The 23-year-old victim’s body was found in a nearby wooded area in June 2015.
