86 years, nine months in prison. That’s the sentence for 28-year-old Mark Emerson. The Anderson man was found guilty in the stabbing death of Cody James Gay two years ago. A jury found Emerson guilty of murder, four counts of kidnapping and four other criminal offenses on May 4 after deliberating for more than 3 hours, ending the eight-day trial.
