It appears that Anderson Community Schools Superintendent Terry Thompson has retired. No official word yet, but the ACS Board of Trustees is scheduled to meet in a special public session at the high school following graduation at about 8:30 tonight – apparently in an attempt to put in place an interim superintendent while they search for a replacement. Thompson suffered a heart attack in early April.
