Witnesses say he passed two cars and then tried to go around the crossing arm. 28-year-old David Ball was taken to St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital with a broken nose and facial lacerations after being struck by the train at the crossing. Rangeline Road was closed to traffic following the accident.
