Elwood Woman Dies After Car Crashes In Creek

An Elwood woman died Tuesday when the vehicle she was driving crashed through a guard rail and landed upside down in four feet of water in Pipe Creek. 33-year-old Angel M. Surber died due to drowning after her vehicle left the road at the dead end on Ind. 13/37. Investigators are awaiting toxicology reports for more clues as to what might have happened.
