CSX Wants To Close Crossings; Muncie Objects

The city of Muncie is opposing the temporary closing of some west side streets for railroad crossing work. CSX wants to close the crossings near Nichols and Batavia avenues this summer. City officials say that due to the bridge construction over Tillotson Avenue, traffic is being rerouted on nearby streets, including Nichols and Batavia.
