Police say a convenience store clerk in Muncie was badly beaten during a hold up Sunday. Two men with masks walked into the County Mark gas station at 3401 East Memorial Drive at about 12:30am Sunday. Police say they immediately went up to the counter and began beating the man with wooden clubs. The victim suffered head and spleen injuries and had to undergo surgery at the hospital. The bandits are at large.
