May 20th is Anderson’s citywide cleanup. The numbers were impressive during the 2016 annual Rev. J.T. Menifee cleanup. Some 300 volunteers collected 437 tons of garbage, more than 16 thousand electronic items for disposal. This year is the 32nd annual and it’s happening from 8am to 4pm on May 20th. Volunteers are asked to gather at 15th and Madison for distribution of gloves, trash bags and safety vests.
