The chancellor of Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne who has helped prepare for a realignment program that will govern the school’s future plans to retire by the end of the year. Purdue University President Mitch Daniels announced Wednesday that Vicky Carwein, who has held the job since 2012, will step down. The realignment planned for 2018 will split the school. A search will start soon for a new chancellor.
