You Could Be Charged For Access To Public Records

The Indiana House has voted to send Gov. Eric Holcomb a public records bill allowing government agencies to charge $20 per hour for requests that take more than two hours to complete. The measure by Republican Rep. Kathy Richardson of Noblesville doesn’t allow for the first two hours of time spent working on the records request to be billed. After that, hours spent on the request could come with a bill.
