They were set to stand trial on kidnapping charges Monday but just before the proceedings started they decided to plead guilty. Brycin and Andrius Brooks, both of Anderson, were accused of breaking into a woman’s apartment in search of drugs and money. They took her hostage and demanded a $50,000 cash ransom. The two brothers are facing a prison term of up to 106 years. A sentencing hearing will be held at a later date.
