The head basketball coach at Ball State may be on his way to a different gig, but the school isn’t saying alot about it. ESPN Thursday reported inadvertently that James Whitford had been hired by Duquesne, a claim that was later clarified as a mistake by the sports network. The Star Press reports athletic director Mark Sandy could not confirm what was happening, and as of Thursday night, players reportedly hadn’t been told of any developments.
