A man is being held in the Delaware County Jail after what police call his failed attempt to rob a convenience store. Police say 57 year old Douglas Wright of the 13600 block of North Delaware County Road 450-W faces a $10,000 bond and is charged with battery. Police say he walked into the Speedway at 3300 N. Granville Avenue. Police say he demanded money but ended up fleeing the store. He was caught nearby.
