With Muncie Building Commissioner Craig Nichols on unpaid administrative leave, the city has named someone to take his place on an interim basis. Rick Lorrison will take over that role and bring with him more than 17 years of applicable experience. Nichols was indicted in mid-February on 33 counts of wire fraud, money laundering and theft of government funds as part of an FBI probe into wrongdoing in Muncie City Hall.
