Pedestrian And Bike Trail Planned For Noblesville

Plans are in the works for a paved 9.2-mile pedestrian and bicycle trail connecting the Indiana cities of Noblesville and Fishers. Officials announced Tuesday that the roughly $9.3 million Nickel Plate Trail project would be developed over the existing Nickel Plate Rail line. The Indianapolis Star reports the move also signals the State Fair train, which was canceled last year amid needed track repairs, is likely done for good.
