County Commissioners Vote To End 911 Agreement

Delaware County commissioners voted Monday to end an agreement to operate a 911 dispatch center between the county and the city of Muncie. The contract requires commissioners to give Mayor Dennis Tyler a year’s notice on potential dissolution, so it’s unclear how the situation will work moving forward over the next several months. A police officer put in charge of the operationn in recent weeks tells the Star Press he hopes it doesn’t disrupt service to people who call 911.
