From A Mansion To A Spa

A beauty salon plans to buy the historic Alva Kitselman house from a church that had considered demolishing the 31-room mansion. The Star Press reports that Parlour Salon, on West Jackson Street, intends to create a salon, spa, wellness center, and an apartment in the white glazed-brick building at 1400 W. University Ave. The sale is contingent on a zoning variance.
