Former Guard Sues Pendleton Prison

A former guard at the Pendleton Correctional Facility has sued the Indiana Department of Correction after he was fired despite having disabilities including alcoholism and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Herbert H. Hobbs of Anderson is claiming the 2015 termination was in violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act. He filed his lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana. The Indiana Department of Correction has not filed a response to the lawsuit.
