Officials say he can get his license back. Dr. Dalwinderpal Samra, a former doctor with the Madison County Community Health Center, can regain his Indiana license to distribute prescriptions for controlled substances; however, the board did not immediately return his federal license. The state pharmacy board declared that the DEA, for reasons never made clear, felt compelled to investigate Dr. Samra and convinced him to surrender his DEA permit.
