Bill Calls For “Tax Free” School Supplies

If a newly proposed bill becomes law, a three-day “holiday” would let Hoosiers to buy school supplies without having to pay sales tax. A new bill by Republican Senator Ronald Grooms would let Hoosiers buy clothing, textbooks, school supplies and art supplies tax-free from August 4th through the 6th of this year. Twelve other states already have similar tax-free holidays in place.
