A cross no longer decorates the top of one Hoosier community’s Christmas tree. The cross atop the Knightstown Christmas tree was taken down Monday afternoon at the request of the town council. The move comes several days after the Indiana ACLU filed suit on behalf of a local resident, asking to have the cross removed. Local business owners on the square responded by placing many crosses in their places of business.
