Company Plans Housing Where Chevy Plant Used To Be

Affordable housing could go up at a six acre industrial site downtown. RACER is a company based in Wisconsin that builds affordable housing where General Motors sites used to be. Here in Muncie, they would build about 35 units on that six acres. The former Chevy plant shut down in 2006 and what buildings were left on the property, along with a smokestack, were torn down in 2009.
