Javier Armstrong, the second of two adult suspects in the August 2015 burglary at Gunslingers Gun Shop, has been sentenced to three years in prison, with one year suspended, for his role in the theft of 48 weapons. The Herald Bulletin reports that the 19-year-old man will be able to serve his sentence in the Madison County men’s work-release program, the judge citing that Armstrong deserved a second chance because – having just turned 18 when the burglary occurred – he was young and impressionable.
