Indiana superintendents are asking the state to suspend school accountability grades for a second straight year. Legislators withheld A-to-F grades this year because a change in how the ISTEP exam is constructed put it out of sync with what schools are teaching. Some superintendents charge the new test was cobbled together and doesn’t accurately reflect student or school performance. They believe scores will be down again when they’re released later this morning.
