Christmas is still more than month away, but a group of Hoosiers are already spreading holiday cheer to military families. 200 Indiana-grown Christmas trees are headed to service members stationed in Guam as part of this year’s Trees for Troops initiative. This is the 12th year for the nationwide program and organizers say they’ll deliver more than 18,000 trees to 65 military bases this year.
