An 8-year-old Elwood girl who was critically injured in a November 12 accident in southern Indiana has died at a Louisville, Ky., hospital. MeCenzie Bickel was a passenger in a van driven by her mother on I-65 near Crothersville when their vehicle was struck from behind. MeCenzie was left in a coma following the crash with extreme swelling of the brain. Her siblings were also injured, but have since recovered and have been released from the hospital.
