Starting Saturday, dialing “317” when making a phone call will officially be required. The Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission says in order to complete a call to an Indianapolis area number you will have to dial 317 in front of the seven-digit number you wish to call. The change is needed for the roll out of the new 463 area code.
