Man handed 25 years for terrorizing family members

Authorities say he terrorized his elderly relatives in their Yorktown home and now a man is headed to 25 years behind bars. 44 year old Kevin Fries most recently lived in Tipton and pleaded guilty to burglary, attempted criminal confinement and other counts. He had shown up at his father and stepmother’s home on Penrod Road, displayed a foot-long knife and said, “I came here to kill you.”
