Part Of Settlement Goes To Medicaid

Part of the $190,000 settlement that the Madison County Community Health Center must pay to resolve a federal lawsuit will go into the state’s Medicaid program, according to the Herald Bulletin. The health center agreed to the settlement to end a three-year-long federal whistleblower’s lawsuit that claimed that the health center’s quest for federal and state funds had turned it into a “pill mill.” The health facility provides medical care to low-income patients.
