Dog’s jump leads to man’s arrest

A dog jumped on on a 22-year-old Muncie man and what followed, landed him in jail. Police say Ian O’Connell went to a friend’s home at Canterbury Townhomes and when he walked in, their dog jumped on him and his shorts fell down. A 10 year old in the home laughed at what happened and police say O’Connell, of the 6200 block of West Bethel Avenue, hit the boy in the arm three times, leaving a bruise and a numbing sensation. O’Connell is charged with battery on a child.
