Police say a Muncie man is in jail for stabbing a female visitor to his home on East Willard Street. He’s 58-year-old Erma Willis Davenport, charged after the woman told police she woke up in his apartment with the man trying to remove her clothing and was stabbed when she resisted him. He’s in jail with a $10,000 bond and has a previous conviction for manslaughter in 1978.
