A Muncie man who exchanged gunfire with two Delaware County sheriff’s deputies has been charged with two counts of attempted murder. The May 27 shootout between the deputies and Gregory Grider Jr. happened in the 7900 block of East Gloucester Road. Neither of the law enforcement officers was hit by gunfire. Grider was hospitalized for treatment of bullet wounds until he was transferred to the Delaware County Jail.
