IREAD results in Anderson better than state average

Third-graders in Anderson Community Schools exceeded state averages overall and in all but one category on the 2016 IRead-3 preliminary spring tests. Eighty-six and a half percent of the district’s third graders who were tested… passed. That’s more than the state average of 83.8 percent. The third grade is considered a benchmark where children should be able to read at grade level, if they are expected to remain successful in school.
