Indiana State Police continue to investigate a police action shooting in the 1300 block of 18th Street in Muncie. Police arrived and found Larry Stepp standing on the edge of the street with a knife. He was ordered to drop it, but he refused, and was shot. Stepp died at Ball Hospital from gunshot wounds and self-inflicted knife wounds. The stabbing victim – a 15-year-old girl – was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
