A foreman for the Delaware County Highway department was demoted after 20 years on the job, and he’s suing the county because he says it was a political decision. William Chambers is a Democrat alleging the County Commissioners moved him out of his managerial job because they are Republicans and he is part of a family of longtime Democratic Party elected officials, according to the Star Press today. He’s suing for damages and wants the court to declare the county’s actions unlawful.
