Former deputy gets probation in drunk driving case

A Delaware county sheriff’s deputy who was drunk and caused a crash two years ago was sentenced to probation yesterday. 48-year-old Todd Daily has since retired from the force and admitted he is an alcoholic. His blood alcohol level was .387, over 4 times the legal limit to drive when he caused a chain-reaction crash going 60 miles an hour on Indiana 32. His license suspended for 90 days.
