North Carolina man pleads guilty to local woman’s death, gets to serve in-home detention

A North Carolina man pleaded guilty in the death of his girlfriend and was sentenced to two years of in-home detention, which the Madison County court says he can serve back home in North Carolina. 41-year-old Christopher Wertz and 29-year-old Megan Solinski were driving about 80 miles an hour on Indiana 38 when they hit a utility pole.
