Lawyers ask court to throw out man’s statements in son’s death

A former Muncie man accused in his 5-month-old baby’s death will go on trial next month, and his lawyer wants his statements to police thrown out. Cory Wallace reportedly told police he dropped the baby onto a hardwood floor and failed to get medical treatment for what ended up being fatal head injuries. Then to cover up the cause of death, he said he set fire in the baby’s bedroom. His attorney says he wasn’t properly read his Miranda rights.
