Former Ball State worker charged with child porn

A former Ball State maintenance supervisor is facing child pornography charges. Randal Schmidt is charged with seven counts of possession of child porn and obstruction of justice. He allegedly had the photos of children engaged in sexual conduct over the last four years on his Ball State computer and at home. His bond was reduced to $25,000 and he bonded out of jail. Trial set for August 5. Schmidt has resigned from Ball State.
