Ball State says they are not in a hurry to find a new president. The chairman of the university’s board of trustees says their priority is to find a strong leader and to get the right person in the job. They have not set a deadline for themselves. Faculty, staff and students told the board they were frustrated with the mysterious exit of President Paul Ferguson after only 18 months, and one associate professor told the Star Press that the university is being open with them and feels the board is trying to create a really open culture.
