At Ball State, the faculty was preparing for a no confidence vote in the board of trustees following the unexplained resignation of the university’s president. Now, acting President Terry King has gotten them to table the idea in hopes of talking with the president of the board before they vote. President Paul Ferguson was well-liked by the faculty and left after about a year and a half on the job. His severage package drew attention to his exit. King hopes the board president and the faculty will talk this week.
