Delaware County sheriff’s deputies investigated what was believed to have been an accidental shooting east of Muncie. The Star Press reports that emergency dispatchers were notified of the shooting, by ER personnel at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital, after the victim went to the hospital for treatment. The wound, reportedly to the victim’s ear, was not life-threatening.
