Officials from the Blackford County Animal Shelter are asking county commissioners for 25-thousand dollars in EDIT funds for a new facility. Cost of the project is estimated at $180,000 and already, $90,000 has been raised to date with another $8,000 in pledges. A representative of the shelter says public donations will be matched through March 31.
