Credit Union Manager Charged With Embezzlement

The ex-manager of a local credit union is facing seven felony charges over her alleged embezzlement of more than $50,000. 51-year-old Betty A. Strickler is accused of stealing the money through a series of fraudulent loans and was fired from her job at Perfect Circle Credit Union in New Castle. She was arrested on fraud, counterfeiting and theft charges and released on bond. Her trial is set for May 31.
