There are thousands of abandoned properties in Muncie, and County Commissioners are moving forward to get rid of them. The Commissioners began the process of demolishing the houses on the parcels, selling them or finding other ways to clear them. Muncie’s historic preservation officer asked the commission to turn over about 50 properties to them for redevelopment.
