The Anderson woman charged with murder in the death of a 12-year-old girl pleaded not guilty Thursday. 45-year-old Denell J. Roberts had been guardian of the girl for seven years when she reported the child was run over by a lawnmower on Oct. 27. The girl was removed from life support on Nov. 18. The prosecutor says the fatal injuries likely were not caused by a lawnmower.
