A Yorktown restaurant building went up in smoke Monday. Fire crews were called to the 9000 block of West Smith Street where flames were visible through the roof. The building was once known as El Rancho Poblano. Before that it was an Asian buffet, but many people will remember it as the local Dairy Queen. The cause of the fire is not yet known. The state fire marshal is investigating.
