Greater Access For Indiana Adoptees

A bill was moved forward by the Indiana Senate Judiciary Committee that would give adult adoptees greater access to information on their past. SB91 would allow people adopted between 1941 and 1993 in Indiana easier access to records such as birth certificate and family medical history that were previously sealed. Adult-aged adoptees born in 1994 or later are allowed access to such records.
