A Winchester man has been accused of attacking a woman resulting in injury at her home. Jimmie James McDowell is charged with battery after the victim told police of the incident. The Randolph County Sheriff report says that McDowell repeatedly punched her in the face and kicked her in the chest. The woman was treated at St. Vincent Randolph Hospital for facial fractures and a collapsed lung. No bond or hearing has been set in that case.
